Kentucky CB Marcus Caffey Ruled Academically Ineligble, Will Miss Season

Joker Phillips announced this morning that projected starting CB Marcus Caffey academically ineligible this season. Caffey was a star of spring practice after moving from tailback to cornerback, and Joker raved about his potential throughout the spring and summer, but alas, UK will have to find a way to replace him and compensate for an already thin defensive backfield. Safety Martavius Neloms moves back to corner from safety to make up for loss of Caffey. Neloms has played CB in the past, and UK has a strong group of safeties. Time for Ashley Lowery and Glenn Faulkner to step up.
