Carolina SS DeVonte Holloman Not Likely To Play Vs Florida South Carolina isn't planning on having strong safety DeVonte Holloman for Saturday's home game against Florida, according to defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson. Holloman suffered a concussion last Saturday at Arkansas. Holloman almost certainly will not play against the Gators "because he didn't practice (all week), and even if they cleared him now, I'd probably be concerned about him playing without any practice time," Johnson said. "Whether he'll be dressed and available for an emergency or something, I guess that'd be up to the doctors." That means freshman Brison Williams will step in and make his first career start, after practicing with the first team all week. Johnson feels uneasy about Williams' lack of experience (four games played) as he prepares to start such a big game. Source Post And Courier |
