Alabama will hold a brief recognition ceremony prior to its Sept. 3 game at Bryant-Denny Stadium against Kent State. The intent is to salute first responders to the April 27 tornadoes that ripped across the state. The salute will take place prior to kickoff, according to an Alabama spokesperson. Tuscaloosa continues to recover from significant destruction after an EF-4 tornado churned through the heart of the city. The tornado killed 50 people in Tuscaloosa County while injuring and displacing many residents.
