Ex-NCST QB Russell Wilson To Visit Wisconsin This Week

Former North Carolina State quarterback Russell Wilson is scheduled to visit the University of Wisconsin next week, a UW source said. Wilson has been granted his release from North Carolina State and has one year of college football eligibility remaining. Because he has graduated, he is eligible to play immediately. ESPN.com has reported Wilson is "95 percent" certain to play college football this fall and has been contacted by at least 12 schools. Wilson has reportedly visited Auburn. With the scheduled visit to UW, it would appear the Tigers and Badgers are the leading candidates to land the prolific passer. Wilson threw for 3,663 yards and 28 touchdowns last season for North Carolina State.
