| Chiefs Not Worried About RB Jamaal Charles' Readiness September was not a kind month for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2011. In the season opener on Sept. 11, star safety Eric Berry tore his ACL and was lost for the season and then a week later All-Pro running back Jamaal Charles suffered the same devastating injury in Detroit. Now the goal is to have both players ready by this September. In the case of Charles, the Chiefs have “no concerns whatsoever” about the running back's availability for Week 1, according to ESPN's Chris Mortenson (via PFT). Charles' absence from Kansas City's OTA sessions is purely a precautionary measure and he is expected to be ready to go by training camp. Source: NFL.com |
