Jaguars CB Rashean Mathis Cleared To Practice

Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis underwent reconstructive knee surgery 6 1/2 months ago. On Tuesday at a Jacksonville Jaguars Caravan stop, Mathis said orthopedic surgeon James Andrews cleared him Monday to practice, Brent Woronoff of the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports. Mathis will participate in the Jaguars minicamp next week. "I did some jumps and stuff at the Andrews Institute (in Gulf Breeze)," Mathis said. "He yanked and pulled on my knee and said everything is looking great, just keep strengthening the knee."
