| Colts Owner Jim Irsay Disputes Report That Andrew Luck Deal Hung Up Over Endorsements
Colts owner Jim Irsay says a reported problem in negotiations with 2012 NFL Draft No. 1 pick Andrew Luck is wrong. Instead, Irsay wrote Saturday on his Twitter account, the team and Luck's handlers are close to an agreement. On Friday, SportsXchange writer Len Pasquarelli cited a source with knowledge of the contract talks and wrote the Colts want all marketing proposals cleared beforehand with the team. Luck's camp considers that request "strident." Irsay responded through Twitter (@ JimIrsay): "As much as I respect my friend Lenny Pasquarelli;the"One Source"is completely wrong/We're close on #12 n final details unrelated 2 marketing."
