Shoulder Injury Will Sideline Packers CB Davon House At Least 2-3 Weeks

Davon House’s hot start to training camp has hit a snag. The Green Bay Packers’ second-year cornerback will miss at least two-to-three weeks due to a shoulder subluxation, a form of dislocation that involves the ball of the upper arm temporarily popping out of it socket. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said the House will begin rehab during that time before its decided whether he can return to the field with a harness or if the shoulder will require surgery. “He’s very eager to get after the rehab,” McCarthy said. “(After) that time, the option of playing with a harness and potential surgery is really what we’re looking at. There’s a lot of history with this particular injury that we’ve had here, but every one of them is a different scenario. Two or three weeks and how he responds to the rehab will be a big part of the decision.” The 6-foot-1, 195-pound cornerback had taken an early lead on the team’s starting cornerback battle before the injury, which occurred during a punt in the third quarter of the Packers’ 21-13 loss to San Diego in their preseason opener on Thursday.
