What are your thoughts about Tim Tebow being an NFL QB?

Nope. He's not gonna be fast enough to escape defenders like he does now in college and he doesn't have the capability to have the most accurate arm especially on the deep balls.

Funny you bring this up....Mel Kiper just commented on this today:

from CollegeFootballTalk.com
Quote:
But ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper goes a step further, saying Tebow won’t be an NFL quarterback at all. Kiper said on today’s Mike and Mike in the Morning that Tebow is likely to play tight end when he enters the NFL in 2010.

“I think an H-back, tight end projection, like we’ve had quarterbacks move to wide receiver in the past,” Kiper said. “That’s what I think he will be. … (Tebow) can have a very successful career in the NFL, but not at quarterback.”
I personally am not sold on spread offense QB's making it in the NFL. It's a gimmick offense that spreads out defenses and allows the QB to single out mismatches all day long.

TE or FB. Could be good for some trick plays though.

He doesn't have the NFL QB stock. IF he goes to the NFL he will be a TE or maybe the H-Back Kiper proposes. I'm just not sure he's going pro right after school. He seems like the type of person who will continue his missionary work first then give the NFL a shot.

Add in the fact that the mismatches at the college level usually are huge compared to the NFL. I don't think he has a prayer at the NFL level as a QB.....TE? He's one of those guys imo that just doesn't translate well to the NFL.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...It looks like I am the only one who's gonna say yes. I think he has enough skills to get it done and has been playing with a top tier team and against the BEST competition and what does he do?....He wins. I think he's a great leader and a smart player and some of the physical abilities can be overcome because of those. I think he'll get a shot and if surrounded by some good players he could have a stellar career. Stick him in the wrong system and maybe you all are right. Plenty of players that had "all the right abilities" could never figure out the pro level game.
