| I participated in a similar thread in a different forum and was quite disappointed with the discussion. First the list of teams was not very good, and posters did a pretty poor job backing up their votes. So, I pose the question here: Which team touts the greatest offense of the modern era (since 1990)? - 1992 San Francisco 49ers (RS: 14-2 | PS: 1-1) Rush Yards: 2,315 | Pass Yards: 3,880 | Points Scored: 431- 1999 St. Louis Rams (RS: 13-3 | PS: 3-0) Won Super Bowl Rush Yards: 2,059 | Pass Yards: 4,353 | Points Scored: 526- 1998 Minnesota Vikings (RS: 15-1 | PS: 1-1) Rush Yards: 1,936 | Pass Yards: 4,328 | Points Scored: 556- 1993 San Francisco 49ers (RS: 10-6 | PS: 1-1) Rush Yards: 2,133 | Pass Yards: 4,302 | Points Scored: 473- 2001 St. Louis Rams (RS: 14-2 | PS: 2-1) Rush Yards: 2,027 | Pass Yards: 4,663 | Points Scored: 503- 2007 New England Patriots (RS: 16-0 | PS: 2-1) Rush Yards: 1,849 | Pass Yards: 4,731 | Points Scored: 589- 1998 San Francisco 49ers (RS: 12-4 | PS: 1-1) Rush Yards: 2,544 | Pass Yards: 4,256 | Points Scored: 479- 1991 Buffalo Bills (RS: 13-3 | PS: 2-1) Rush Yards: 2,381 | Pass Yards: 3,871 | Points Scored: 458- 2000 St. Louis Rams (RS: 10-6 | PS: 0-1) Rush Yards: 1,843 | Pass Yards: 5,232 | Points Scored: 540- 1994 San Francisco 49ers (RS: 13-3 | PS: 3-0) Won Super Bowl Rush Yards: 1,897 | Pass Yards: 4,163 | Points Scored: 505(I'm a pretty big fan of a certain site's rankings, and that is where I got this list from. If anyone wants the link I can post it) |

| I should probably choose the 2007 Patriots but I'll go with the 1998 Minnesota Vikings to be a little different. That team was ridiculous. For those who picked New England, do you think they would put those points up if Brady gets hurt? Brad Johnson got hurt in 98 twice and Randall Cunningham comes in and throws for a 106 rating... I'm just saying...

| I went with the '99 Rams because they came out of nowhere. All I could think at the time was "Who the fuck is Kurt Warner?"

| Great points 86Ward, you would think a truly great offense could work around injuries and still produce for their team. I think the '07 would have been one of those teams, but of course their numbers and record would likely have taken a hit. I don't think the '07 Pats get my vote. I gotta take in rule changes when looking at the numbers, and also teams' competition. '07 had the highest scoring average ever, no surprise a team could break the record. |

| The Patriots would have been my pick if it wasn't for the fact that down the stretch in the playoffs (AFC Championship and Super Bowl) the offense tanked. Overall? I go with the '99 Rams too.
