NFL Matchup Of Two No. 1s Unlikely

It sure looks like a Dallas-New England Super Bowl, doesn't it? The Cowboys are cruising along with an 11-1 record and, with a victory last month over Green Bay, have a two-game lead over the Packers for the top seed in the NFC with four games remaining. The Patriots also are motoring with a 12-0 record and, with a victory last month over Indianapolis, have a three-game lead over the Colts for the top seed in the AFC with four to play. So the roads to the Super Bowl are paved through Dallas and New England. Pencil them in as conference champions and start the hype for a super rematch, right? That's not what history says. The NFL has been seeding the playoff brackets since 1990, when the league expanded its postseason participation from 10 to 12 teams. The last time the top seed in the AFC and NFC advanced to the Super Bowl was 1993. That's right, it has been 14 years since the two top seeds squared off for an NFL championship.

I think this will be the first time in 14 years. If the Packers didn't beat the Cowboys, nobody in the NFC can. If the Colts didn't beat the Patriots, nobody in the AFC can. Both teams are on a class of their own, and they should meet in Arizona.

I think the Vikings could...now now BoyBand fans before you say we beat them already this season...they are a way better team now than then. Still I think these two teams(Boys/NE) would be a excellent SB.

Whos to say the Packers can't in the playoffs against Dallas, #1 Woodson will be playing which really helps so Bush aint out there getting thousands of penalty yards, #2 if Favre doesnt go try to get 31 points in the first 4 minutes by throwing into deep double coverage and just calms down like Aaron Rodgers did then we have ourselves a good game
