Granted, the personal conduct policy gives Goodell tremendous latitude in doling out suspensions. Some believe he should wait, like his predecessor Paul Tagliabue did, for the court system to rule before meting out suspensions. But Goodell believes there is too much at stake to wait and I agree.

IMHO, Goodell needs to resolve this and as soon as possible. As it is, you have a bogus prosecutor up in virginia (Poindexter) who changes his mind like we change our socks and underwear. Wouldn't be surprised if the Feds get involved at some point.

Unless it crossed state lines somehow, why would the feds get involved? Dogfighting isn't a federal charge.
