I'd like to nominate Wide Receiver, Herman Moore

Herman Joseph Moore (born October 20, 1969 in Danville, Virginia) is a former American NFL wide receiver. He played football in high school, mostly as a kicker as well as playing at tight end. He went to the University of Virginia, where he was a 2-sport athlete he ranks second all-time in career receptions and holds the school record in the high jump. Moore's jersey number was "87."

Moore was drafted in the first round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, where he enjoyed a great deal of success. He was selected to four Pro Bowls, from 1994-1997. He was the second player (after Jerry Rice) to have three 100-catch seasons. Also in 1995, Moore and teammate Brett Perriman (108 catches) became the first WR duo to each catch more than 100 receptions in the same season. In 1998, Herman Moore received the inagural All-Iron Award for his performance in the Thanksgiving game.

Moore finished his 12 NFL seasons with 670 receptions for 9,174 yards and 62 touchdowns.

Hmmmmmmm....still no respect for Jim Marshall of the Minnesota Vikings....can't get into the hall and can't get in here either....so....I nominate Jim Marshall again.

Jim Marshall (born December 30, 1937 Danville, Kentucky) played college football at Ohio State University. He left school before his senior year, and played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was then drafted in the 4th round of the 1960 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Marshall played the 1960 season with the Browns. He played from 1961 to 1979 with the Minnesota Vikings. He started in 270 consecutive games at defensive end, a National Football League record for consecutive starts.

He played in Pro Bowls after the 1968 and 1969 NFL seasons. He recovered 29 fumbles, an NFL record. He was a member of the Vikings' famous "Purple People Eaters", and was the final player from Minnesota's initial expansion team of 1961 to retire.

He was a great Defensive Lineman for the Vikings, played 270 Strait Games and was a part of 4 teams that made it to the Super Bowl. He was a dominant player for most of his career.


I agree with Doug, Marshall needs to make it to the HOF. I can't find any stats but I'll bet they were great for his time of playing.
