I would take the 1st option no doubt want the feeling of winning the lambardi

Ive went through the sixers losing in the finals phillies losing in the world series eagles losing in the superbowl and the flyers pretty sure it was the stanley cup they lost or atleast close to the finals and it sucks. The feeling i got when the phillies won was amazing i was going nuts and felt amazing to know my team is the best in the league.

Scenario #2. At least you have HOPE throughout the season and playoffs and with that hope is constant excitement about the possibility of winning it all. Knowing your team has no shot at the playoffs after the first 8 games just sucks the life out of you and you lose interest quickly. Just look at a list of the teams and the number of season ticket holders they have and if that team has a waiting list for tickets. Just guessing that's a pretty good barometer of which scenario those fans would probably select.

#1 if the concept is your team building a toward winning it all, giving you the opportunity to watch it jell into a SB winner.

#2 may sound nice to some but check with a Bills or Viking fan on the scars of being so close so often.

Championships are def. the only thing. I could care less if the Red Sox become perennial losers for the next 5 years if they came out with a world series ring again in year 6. But if they kept making it to the playoffs and losing I would be so frustrated. The same can be said about the Saints, or the Pistons.

Which is why I stick with the Pistsons. And the fact that all three teams have a championship does not change my view at all. I want another damnit, and I will endure losing a ton of games if it gets me to that mountaintop again.

To me the Saints last year were a failure, sure they won a Superbowl the year before, they had a good record and they made the playoffs, but losing to the Seahawks in the first round? Fuck that. If we lose in the first round again, I would probably break a hole into my wall I would be so frustrated.
