As for the offense.

Martellus Bennett.
And Doug Free if he can't kill the penalty bug he has.

Defense:

Newman.
Ball.
Elam.
Walker.
Brooking.
Coleman.

Free is gonna be a RT next year. He plays better at that position IMO. I really think our Oline will be good next year.

On Offense I think the interior of the line needs to be redone.

M. Bennett needs to be traded. He has been such a disappointment.

On D:

pretty much the entire secondary. Especially Newman and Sensabaugh.

LB's are good.

D.line is average except for Ratliff.

You're not going to recognize the Cowboys roster in 2012. They have 21 free agents whose contracts expire after this season. Except for one Terrence (Toast) Newman, whose contract doesn't end until the end of the 2014 season.

If the cowboys bring back Terence Newman for another season than I'm done thru within team. the Cowboys aren't serious about winning with him at starting Cb

Barrodes this from a other Dallas fan
For those that want Spencer gone

Everyone wants Spencer to have 10+ sacks but that's not the way this defense works. In a 3-4 defense (or a 4-3 for that matter) you typically send 4 defenders after the quarterback. Any more than that is considered a "blitz." So you've got your 3 down linemen and Demarcus Ware rushing the passer 95% of the time, and then 30% of the time you'll send a blitzer such as Spencer or another LB or DB. Spencer does a lot of flats coverage, zone coverage and outside contain and doesn't get even half the pass rush opportunities that Ware does.

Having said that, he does need to make more of his pass rushing opportunities. He doesn't seem to have a wade variety of moves when rushing the passer, he generally either tries to beat them on the edge with pure speed, or try to bull rush them and then get inside of them. You don't see him use his hands alot, you don't see him try many spin moves, etc. so he doesn't win 1-on-1's as often as Ware.

He does a pretty good job in run support, and his assignment is outside containment most of the time. He rarely loses that containment and rarely gives up ground to OL. He's a sure tackler when he has the opportunity and has a penchant for forcing fumbles. In coverage I'd say he's above average for a 3-4 OLB. He does a good job jamming RB's and TE's within 5 yards to mitigate their speed and disrupt their route. In zone coverage he does what's expected of him. He generally has pretty good hustle if he thinks he can make a play, and has made several this season on hustle alone.

All in all, if we can get him for 5 million a year, I'd have him back. 5 million a year isn't what it used to be, and elite players get 10+ million a year now. We really need more pass rush out of our DE's, as they rush the passer almost every play, and have precious few sacks to show for it.

AE is the man, but I dont agree with him on retaining Spencer. Its not that he is horrible, but we have been giving contracts to too many mediocre in house players.

At this point, I would rather roll with Butler (whom I feel is one dimension, but he is good at that one dimension which is getting to the QB), then to pay Spencer

ESPN-FM in Dallas is reporting that the Cowboys will not be bringing Kevin Ogletree back.
