NFL Biggest Surprise Of The 2011 NFL Season?

What do you think was the biggest surprise of the 2011 season? Was it the play of the rookie quarterbacks in the lockout shortened "season?" Was it the Colts going 0-13 without Peyton Manning? Was it the play of the San Francisco 49ers? Cincinnati Bengals? Dan Marino's passing record falling to Drew Brees and possibly Tom Brady?

What was it?!?

mine is the 49ers. Never expected this at all, especially with Alex Smith running the show.

i'm going with the choke job by the eagles.

the niners situation is surprising, but i don't know if he is the most surprising, considering how much talent we knew was sitting there all along.

I went with how horrible the Colts have been without Peyton. I think we all knew they would not be close to the team they were with Peyton but what they are now is just awful...

yep, the colts embarassing themselves was on my final 3 list. i don't believe that peyton manning is worth 8 or 9 extra wins a year for a team. He's obviously worth at least a few (maybe 5) but i don't believe this team should be 2-13.

they were 10-6 last year with manning so they probably should have been able to get 5 or 6 wins this year.

I can't decide between the Eagles and the Colts. I might give the edge to the Eagles because people were basically talking Super Bowl or bust for that team, and they're not even in the playoffs.

The Colts have had shitty drafts for the last few years. Its surprising it was that bad, but a drop off was coming. I took the 49ers over the Eagles because the Eagles are still around .500. If Phil. dropped like the Colts did, I would have picked them.

With Manning, I didn't think they would be better than 10 wins. I thought they'd hit that mark, but I still felt like the Texans would win the division.
