Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said DE Cliff Avril, RB Jahvid Best (concussion), WR Ryan Broyles (knee), FS Don Carey (undisclosed), FS Louis Delmas (knee), CB Chris Greenwood (abdomen), RB Mikel Leshoure (hamstring), DT Sammie Hill (back), OT Jonathan Scott (knee) and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (knee) have been ruled out for the preseason game Friday, Aug. 10.
