Lions DC Gunther Cunningham Plans To Be Personal Mentor To DT Nick Fairley

Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham plans to mentor defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who has been arrested twice in the past two months. "As far as Nick is concerned, he knows this is going to be personal between the two of us," Cunningham told the Detroit Free Press. "And I say that like a father. I’m going to do everything I can to help him and I know the organization’s done that and so has everybody else. "If I have to go see his family, whatever I have to do to get him squared away." Somebody needs to get Fairley squared away. He was arrested in late May for driving under the influence and attempting to elude police. In April, Fairley was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge.
