Calf Injury Continues To Bother Broncos DT Justin Bannan

Justin Bannan is having a hard time being patient when it comes to the nagging soreness in his calf muscle. Just when Bannan thinks the strained muscle has healed, he’ll push just a little too hard in a training camp practice and suffer a minor setback. Head coach John Fox said Friday evening that the team might decide to hold Bannan back until he is fully healed. Bannan has lined up with the starters throughout minicamps and training camp. The Broncos would certainly rather him be there for good come September than in and out of the practice lineup now. “He’s a tough kid that keeps trying to get out there,” Fox said. “Maybe sometimes we might have to put the reins on him a little bit, but he’s coming along. It’s something he could actually play with if we were in season, but we want to get him healed up and ready for the season.”
