| Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno Fighting For A Roster Spot
Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno is reportedly "fighting for a roster spot," according to Lindsay Jones of The Denver Post. Appearing Friday on ESPN, Jones reported that Moreno was a participant at the team's organized team activities and struggling to stand out in a crowded backfield. Willis McGahee remains the starter and Lance Ball was productive last season so Moreno’s role could be reduced to passing situations, but John Elway was thrilled about the addition of rookie Ronnie Hillman. Meanwhile, backs rebounding from an ACL tear tend to decline and it doesn't help that Moreno was nabbed for a DUI in February. Following a promising rookie campaign (947 rushing yards, nine total touchdowns), Moreno has missed 12 games in two seasons. Source: NFL.com |
