| Broncos Tender All Their Restricted Free Agents
Broncos defensive tackle Ryan McBean, who will fight his six-game suspension in Denver District Court, received a “same-round” tender from the Broncos as did receiver Matt Willis. McBean was a fourth-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers so if another team tried to sign him away, the Broncos could either match his offer or accept a fourth-round draft pick as compensation. Willis was an undrafted free agent but the Broncos would still have a right of first refusal should another team offer him a deal larger than his $1.26 million salary. The Broncos also placed $540,000 salary tenders on their three exclusive rights free agents: Punter Britton Colquitt, running back Lance Ball and offensive tackle Chris Clark. Source: Denver Post |
