Here I am to stir up a shit storm. I am engaged in a debate on facebook about this subject and wondered what you all think about this. I have a few people in mind who I want to know their opinions because I respect their ideas. Here goes.

How do you feel about having Obama's face on the American Flag?

Bolts Rule, please wade in on this. You seem to be informed and can make a well thought out post. Of course anyone please comment. My opinion is that it is an insult for any face to be on the flag. Nothing against Obama. I would feel the same way if anyone's face was put on it.

No way there should be any face on the flag. No one man can be the face of our nation like that. This country was built up and maintained on the shoulders of many. To think someone thought this was a good idea shows how out of touch that whole Obama scene has become. Get off your iPhones and wake up already.

SRW did a good job of summing it up. This country isn't about one man it's about all of us and we should never forget that.

Even though I was only in the military for a couple months before my injury, the people who serve in them military should be raising cain over this. I know I would be, we fight and many veterans DIE for this country, this flag, and putting someone's face on it is a disgrace to all those fallen heroes.

Think of the dead at Pearl Harbor, or those who gave their lives retaking Okinawa, Guam, Italy, France. They gave their lives for this country, for freedom and for the USA. They raised the flag in victory and triumph, the star spangled banner in all its glory. The image of the flag being raised at Iwo Jima is one of the long lasting memories of the war, its looked at as this great symbol of America of freedom and of triumph. The stars and stripes, there is no face on that flag. There never should be its a disgrace to all of that and to this country. If anyone's face were to ever have been put on the flag it would have to be George Washington not BARACK OBAMA and Washington would be disgusted and disgraced if that were to ever happen.
