What about children who have no. Choice.... Kids that were taken from. Their families and forced to fight or die children as young as 10 or 11....

It's simple Psychology. You are raised by what you see and observe, if you take a kid out of that situation they act differently after a while.

Drag, you just made my point. I'm not a racist person but the shit I heard while attending college in the south was very eye opening to me. I'm Italian and thus have black genes in my make up. (the Moors taking over Italy).

These young kids that are taught to hate, will not stop hating just because they are are told not to. If they actually find some family or safe home that tells them not to. It's sad but those kids have no chance at living life and respecting others regardless of religion or country. They are programed to hate and there's no fix to that.

I wish there was a fix but sadly enough there isn't.

Your wrong in many cases mush. Kids HAVE gotten out and HAVE changed. That is a simple incontravertable and inarguable fact. Do ALL? Of course not but for you to say it can't happen because you know some redneck kids who say nigger is just dump. In your barely applicable example you are talking about kids who are surrounded by and taught their entire lives to do something. Child soldiers are many times victims of the same wars they later fight in who assimilate into the fighting factions in order to survive.

1st i wanna say great idea for the forum and great subject for the initial thread.

this is such a slippery slop. nobody here can even imagine what these kids go through. i mean we have such basic things that these kids don't like clean water, an education system and a society that while not perfect as mush has pointed out is nowhere near what atmosphere these kids grow up in.

to me these kids had no choice. which means we owe it them as a people who claim to have compasion, a chance to rehibilitate themselves while in jail. try to plant the seed of peace.

Interesting topic, without question. It's hard to say kill them, when they are just kids. By doing so, you don't show any compassion for them. Do they show compassion in their killings? No, of course not. But, they are also taught that. No, we cannot save them all and change them all, but there are some that can be with the right help. Will it be easy, no. But, haven't we all learned that there is no easy road in life? Killing them would be so much easier. I do understand both sides of the story. My initial thought was to just say kill them. Be done with it, end of story. At the same time, these kids - most - do not have a choice. It is their lifestyle, and if you can help them at an early age, then you can do some good. I do believe there would be a certain point in which it may be too late. Do I have the knowledge to know when that is? Of course not.

As far as the south, racist comments go. Not everyone is taught to call black people "niggers". I've had more experience with people from northern states being far more racist than the south. I do believe there is a difference in a black person and a "nigger", though. But its not just used in reference to blacks, in my opinion. Yes, you've got racists in the south that call everyone of 'em that. They are taught that, and some won't change their mind. My dad is one of those people, for the most part. I'm not.

one basic rule to remember is this, all children are born innocent. nobody comes into the world yelling white power or jihad.

I know guys that were abducted as children on the way to school... Forced to become soldiers and these guys have escaped and changed these guys I know have rehabilitated themselves for the most part...they escaped and choose to stop fighting.... And now productive members of society....

That's what I am saying Omen, these kids can get out and work while in jail or a rehabilitation facility that we set up to help change themselves and become productive members of society. Look I don't think we can save them all that is an unrealistic possibility, but I grew up thinking if there is a possibility than be damned if we don't at least try.

And if they can't be rehabilitated they don't get released into society. I feel like there is very, very rarely a reason to kill a child and this is defiantly not it.
