Pittsburgh has found its successor to Todd Graham, selecting Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Chryst as its next head football coach, according to multiple reports.
The Panthers were in search of a new face of the program after Graham left for Arizona State to replace Dennis Erickson on Dec. 14 following one season in the Steel City.
The 46-year-old Chryst was under consideration for the openings at Illinois and Kansas this offseason after being a candidate for Pitt's coaching vacancy last year. He has served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in Madison since 2005 after running Oregon State's offense from 2003-04. He previously coached at Wisconsin as its tight ends coach in 2002.
