Pitt freshman receiver Darius Patton was scheduled to be kept overnight at UPMC Presbyterian in Oakland after collapsing at practice today. "He`s awake and alert, and his vital signs are very good," coach Todd Graham said. A Pitt spokesman said Patton, 18, was admitted for observation but that it appeared he would be OK. Patton passed out while participating in a noncontact drill. It was unclear what caused him to lose consciousness. Patton played at Penn Hills as a sophomore before transferring to Poland (Ohio) Seminary.
