Other notes about Leavitt's ballot: Alabama, which was No. 5 in the preseason poll, was only ranked No. 11 by Leavitt. Just two years ago, Leavitt and Alabama coach Nick Saban traded barbs through the media about USF's academic standards.

Other than all the Big East teams, he really isn't that far off. I'm sure there are some coaches who did a lot worse.

I know, and I agree. But those Big East teams are probably the ones he knows the most about, so why not put them in there, instead of some teams he has no idea about.

BTW, USF isn't that bad. I'd say #30. How Cinci isn't in the top #25 is beyond me.
