Torn ACL/MCL Ends Texas RB Fozzy Whittaker's Season

Texas will have to finish its season without its offensive leader, Fozzy Whittaker. The do-it-all senior suffered torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee at Missouri on Saturday, Texas trainer Kenny Boyd said. The injury will require season-ending surgery. Whittaker led the Longhorns in touchdowns with nine (six rushing, one receiving and two kickoff returns) as well as all-purpose yards (955). More than that, Whittaker had been a stabilizing force on an offense littered with youth and inconsistency.

that's unfortunate. He wasn't the starter but was a team leader and elite special teamer.
