As orthopedic surgeon Dr. Pat Smith told The Star on Saturday following Missouri’s 17-5 victory over No. 21 Texas, Josey was “done for the year.” The confirmation of the surgery on Sunday from Missouri said that operation was “to begin the repair process” of Josey’s left knee. MU official Chad Moller, in an email sent to the media at midmorning, said: Mizzou’s team doctors are confident he will make a full recovery in the end. The timeframe for his return is unknown at this point but we’ll certainly provide updates as he progresses throughout his rehabilitation process.” Josey suffered the injury with 4 minutes, 2 seconds left in the third quarter of Saturday’s game in Columbia as Missouri was trying to escape the shadow of its own goal post.
