OSU RB Chris "Beanie" Wells Injured In 43-0 Rout

Second-ranked Ohio State, in its quest for a third straight BCS championship game appearance and fourth consecutive Big Ten title, snuffed Youngstown State, 43-0, in the season opener Saturday afternoon at Ohio Stadium.Wells was carted off the field and examined by the team medical staff. He returned later in the second half without his shoulder pads and wearing a protective boot on his injured foot.

I see a scenario brewing that is going to make me lose my mind.

Due to the "importance" of these fictional national titles and such Tressel rushes Beanie back to play at USC and we lose him for the regular season (ya know...Big Ten games...the ones that count).

Hopefully he gets to rest against OU, USC and maybe Minnesota before the big game at Wisconsin.

No team has ever won 3 straight OUTRIGHT Big Ten titles in the 107 years of the conference. The mere thought we don't get our 3rd cuz of people playing hurt against USC makes me wanna pull my hair out.

If your goal is play for and win national champioships, which it should be, then all games count equally in my mind. If Beanie says he is ready and the trainers are comfortable with him playing as is the coaching staff then he should play as soon as he is ready.
