Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez has no intention of naming a No. 1 quarterback any time soon, and both of the contenders, Nick Sheridan and Steven Threet, will see action in the opener against Utah. Right now, Nick and Steve are still battling and, I dont want to necessarily say hopefully somebody separates themselves; I hope both of them are ready to play and win with by the weekend, Rodriguez said, per the Detroit Free Press. Theyve made great steps. The old saying that if you have two quarterbacks you dont really have any has never seemed more apt than it does with Michigan this year.
Very good point, but, if he does that w/out the type of players he usually has, things will really heat up once he gets "his" players into school. Assuming he'll be able to get those players.
edit: looks like he already found his guy. Money says this guy starts next season, if he can get his weight up. (179 lbs? yikes!)
I hope Rich and Michigan surprises people. I'm still not sold on Michigan running the spread offense because I'm not a fan of it, but if we win doing it then what the hell. Hopefully Shavodrick Beaver will be the answer for the offense
