RB Ray Rice Promises Super Bowl Glory For Ravens

It's Ray Rice Day in Baltimore, and the Ravens star running back used the special occasion to make a promise to the city: Ray Rice told the fans here that this fall he'll do his job and bring a Super Bowl back to Baltimore. Rice was at Calvert Hall in Towson, Md., on Saturday, to kick of the event that included games, autographs and a luncheon geared for 600 young fans of the popular running back. "I'm so blessed to be in a position where I can give back to the kids," Rice said on his official website. "It means the world to me to be able to bring Ray Rice Day to Baltimore and spend a day with the kids giving instruction, encouragement, and inspiration. My hope is that they come away from the day knowing that they can be anything they want to in life." The children are wise to listen, off the field, Rice has shown a particular interest in lifting up the city he plays for, on it, Rice remains one of the game's premier backs and the central cog in Baltimore's attack. He told reporters he feels better than ever heading into his fifth season, narrow defeat to the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game still eats at this franchise, and Rice's words to the masses prove as much -- even here on a Saturday in May.

well, it's been a LONG time since any team not named the Steelers, Colts, or Patriots has represented the AFC so I guess I will not believe it until I see it.

Shouldn't the QB be the one to make that kind of statement?
