Cardinals Interested In Trading For QB Kyle Orton?

It's time to play guess who'll be the Cardinals quarterback next season and according to a source they have a new contestant. The Channel 3 sports department has learned that the Cardinals have had preliminary contact with the Broncos about the availability of Kyle Orton. A source tells 3TV’s Tim Ring, the discussions would not be categorized as serious but the Broncos believe the Cardinals have an interest in Orton as a “Plan B” if they can't work out a deal for Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Kevin Kolb. Orton has thrown 71 touchdown passes in a five-year career in Denver and Chicago.

I could see that. I think he'd be a good fit in Miami as well, but I think he stays in Denver...

Orton wouldn't be a bad fallback.....plus he'd be cheaper in terms of compensation and contract.

A third round pick should get it done.......

I doubt Denver gets rid of him though.

I agree. No need to get rid if him and if they decide to go the Tebow route, Orton's a great fall back if it doesn't workout. Quinn...not so much.

They could use a good draft choice to continue building for the future......they could always sign a vet QB to backup Tebow.

I don't think Orton would stick around as a backup again.

You don't think Tebow is the answer? He showed flashes during the end of the season. All he needs is a chance. And Elway pretty much made it clear about Tebow being the future of their franchise.

Tebow is starting to grow on me......damn you mush. lol

Their best bet is to keep Orton. The draft pick isn't that great and the veteran options aren't lighting the world on fire.
