Ohio State's superb pass rushing junior defensive end Vernon Gholston has decided to enter the 2008 draft. He could be a perfect fit for the Jets who own the sixth pick of the draft. Golston is a 6-4, 260 pounder who was a college DE, but projects well to the 3-4 OLB position on the NFL level. He runs the forty in the 4.6 area and had 14 sacks for the Buckeyes this past season. Don't be shocked if the Jets give him serious consideration in the first round.

Chris Long is all over the Jets draft board. If they can land him they will do cartwheels into the night.

yeah they would rather draft chris long then vernon gholston.Chris long is going to play alot better through out his career than gholston will.

If Long is gone then yes i would think the Jets will draft Ghoulston. imo he could become a beast at OLB, in the 3-4.

your right about that falcon he could be but i dont think long will be gone where there at in the draft.

it probably all depends on the Dolphins new HC *cough* what Parcells tell him *cough* and if theyswitch to 3-4 - a rumour i keep hearing float around is that they will. If they do i could really see them taking Long, or trading back to get him.
