Jets' Martin Likely Heading To Hall Of Fame Quote:
After getting honored by the New York Jets at halftime of last Sunday's game against the Steelers, Curtis Martin's next stop figures to be Canton, Ohio.
The former Allderdice High School and Pitt star put together a convincing case for his enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Martin rushed for 14,101 yards, fourth-most in NFL history, and scored 102 touchdowns during a 12-year career. He also won an NFL rushing title and was the AFC Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1995.
Not that the classy Martin will simply wait around to see if his credentials are good enough to get him into the Hall of Fame the first year he's eligible (2011).
