AFC Who is going to win the AFC?

I know everyone loves a good poll. Ok, maybe not, but I'm starting one anyway. So who is going to win the AFC? I'm going with the Chargers. You might call me a homer, but I think the Chargers have the most talent in the NFL and this is the year everything comes to fruition. No disrespect to the Pats, Colts, Ravens or any of the other teams in the AFC, but I think this is the year of the lightning bolt.

Just curious, but do you really believe this, or are you just supporting your team?

I love your QB Pennington. He's tough as nails. When he was counted out, he came back strong and showed some serious moxie. Still I think the Pats are the team to beat in the AFC East. The Bills could challenge for second in the division as well although the Jets should hold them off IMO. I think the Dolphins will also be improved, but still last in the division.

I would love to see the Jets pound the Pats, but I just don't think it'll happen. Good luck this season.

You've said this how many times? I've yet to see any kind of proof as to why you think the Jets have passed up the Patriots. Dyson and Revis can't cover Moss and Stallworth, Pennington is one injury away from pretty much falling apart (perhaps Adalius Thomas can tear his arms off and beat him with them)... the offensive line isn't nearly good enough to consistently open up the holes that Jones is going to need... I just don't see it. Not because I'm a Patriots fan, but because I'm a football fan and I'm just not impressed. Will the Jets be tough? They always are. Will they get past the Pats this year? We'll see, but I'm going to guess a resounding "no."

As for the answer to this poll- it's either the Ravens, Chargers, or Patriots. San Diego has the biggest struggle though, thanks to the coaching change. It may be LdT as the starting running back, but it's still NORV TURNIP as their new coach. I give it to the Pats, but only because I'm a raging homer sometimes. :p And cuz I know they're still pissed about the collapse in the AFC Championship Game.

The Pats seem to be the off season pick as the team to beat in AFC this year. They're definitely one of them. Guess we'll have to wait to see how it pans out.

I'm flying out to Foxboro for the Chargers / Patriots game in Sept.
