Why Are Dolphins Allowing Culpepper to Practice? The feeling around the NFL is almost unanimous that Daunte Culpepper is a goner in Miami. Eventually, the Dolphins' long-awaited acquisition of Trent Green will take place, and when it does, Green will be the starter until rookie John Beck is ready. So why did the Dolphins allow Culpepper to practice with the team Friday? It was a limited practice with no contact, but still, injuries can happen even in non-contact practice sessions, and if Culpepper gets hurt, the Dolphins will be on the hook for his 2007 salary.
