QB Jacory Harris Returns To Miami's Starting Lineup

Miami quarterback Jacory Harris has returned to the starting lineup after serving a one-game NCAA suspension, according to a depth chart released by the school Wednesday for the Sept. 17 home game against Ohio State. Harris replaces Stephen Morris, who completed 19 of 28 passes for 195 yards and two interceptions in the Canes' 32-24 loss at Maryland on Monday night. One of the biggest questions in the ACC this offseason has been who would start at quarterback for Miami. First-year coach Al Golden had said the competition was dead-even until the NCAA investigation, which resulted in the suspension of eight players for the season opener, made the decision for him. Golden had said the quarterback competition would continue during the bye week, but the decision came earlier than expected.

They would have beat Maryland with Harris in there. He'll make a huge difference.

I couldn't disagree more with the 2 posters above me. Morris played great football! He deserves the starting job at least for one more week. This is not the right thing.

I agree. Harris has proved he can't perform under any pressure. Besides, no one is expecting the Canes to do anything this year, why not let someone who will be here longer get his chance.

Are you serious? You want to blame the 'Canes ineffectiveness on Morris? That's a load of it. If Maryland hadn't shot themselves in the foot, Miami wouldn't have been in that ball game at the end. That wasn't the fault of Morris. That kid played damn good football. Two interceptions, yes. But, one was on a fourth down..and he had to try to make a play, the other on a hail mary play (if i am not mistaken). Yeah, you're right. The kid is garbage. Let's just kick him to the curb for Harris, who hasn't led Miami to anything, either.

Damn Chip who pissed in your beer?

I agree with you though, That game should have been over by halftime if Maryland had any kind of red zone offense. I'd start Harris but he'd have a very short leash.

That's what happens when you deal with stupid people for 70-90 hours a week, and no off day in three weeks. -.- I miss this place. I'll be back, VERY SOON. And to hell with Harris lol
