Virginia Tech linebacker Lyndell Gibson, a former Salem High standout, is facing a DWI charge stemming from an incident this month in Montgomery County. he redshirt sophomore was arrested and charged on Feb. 5 with what is deemed a Class 1 misdemeanor, according to court documents. He is due in court April 27. No other details of his arrest were available Thursday evening. The school has issued no statement on his arrest, and efforts to reach sports information officials Thursday night were unsuccessful.
