Florida State QB Christian Ponder Should Play Against NC State

Florida State concluded its bye week over the weekend but the Seminoles weren't exactly off. They began preparations for their nationally-televised game on Thursday night at N.C. State. And they did so with their starting quarterback back in practice Redshirt senior QB Christian Ponder, who has been attempting to recover from a right elbow injury, returned to practice on Saturday. Ponder had been held out of practice all of last week after suffering from a swollen bursa sac during the Seminoles victory against Boston College on Oct. 16. "He threw the ball well," Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher told reporters after his team's practice on Saturday. "… I cut some back, because we have so many [passing drills]. … I was shocked at what he did throw."

Backup QB E.J. Manuel is capable of coming in and producing. Ponder honestly has done anything overwhelming this year.
